COLLINS: Loren M. Schibley,74, of Collins, died Sunday, Dec. 31,2000, following a brief illness.
He was born Feb. 16, 1926 in Lakewood, and was raised in Westlake. He made his home in Collins since 1975.
Schibley owned Schibley Chemical in Elyria since 1954 and was its chief executive officer: his sons now operate the busniess.
He was a member of Dover Congregational Church, Westlake. He enjoyed being outdoors and working his farm.
Suvivors include his wife of 53 years, Carol Anne (nee Heydler): sons, Rudd, Reed, Kris and a daughter. Eight grandchildren and one great grandchild: and his brother Glenford Schibley of Orlando, Fla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Gladys (nee Heuer) Schibley.
Friends may call Wednesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm., at Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, where services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
