Amherst Woman 74, Died Thurs

Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Schibley, 74, died at he Amherst hospital Thursday at 4:45 p.m. following a long illness. When she was three years old, she came from Vermilion to Amherst to live, and lived here for the remainder of her life. For fifty-three years, she was a member of the First Evangelical Church, and was a member of the Missionary and Ladies Aid Society. She also was affiliated with Hickory Tree Grange.

Survivors of the deceased are her husband, Christ Schibley, nine children, Mrs. William Berris, Mrs. Hale Bechtel, Mrs. Henry Kane, and Frank Schibley of Amherst; Myron Schibley, Rocky River; Dewey Schibley and Mrs. Lloyd Cannell, Cleveland; Mrs. Fred Mahlke, Elyria; Mrs. A. Kolbe, Wellington. She also has one sister, Mrs. S.L. Sanders, Amherst, seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at two pm Sunday, at the late home on Leavitt Road, with Rev. M.A. Hayes officiating. Burial was made in Crownhill Cemetery under the direction of Conrad Zilch.
