FRANCES M. RAESLER - WAS A NURSE
Frances M. Raesler (nee Sanders/White), 76, of Amherst died Tuesday at Lorain Community/St. Joseph Regional Health Center, west campus, after a four-month illness.
Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, she had lived in Amherst since 1924.
A devoted homemaker, she was also a licensed practical nurse from 1966 to 1982, retiring from Amherst Hospital.
She was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Amherst, since 1943.
She enjoyed traveling and crocheting.
Survivors include her son, James A. of Amherst; four grandchildren; and brother, Jack Donahue of Kingston, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Earl A. in 1979; and brother Guy Donahue.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Hempel Funeral Home, 373 Cleveland Ave., Amherst, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. David J. Gross, pastor of St. Peter United Church of Christ, will officiate.
Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
