Amherst - Sidney B. Murdock, 65, died yesterday at 2:30 a. m. in his home, 441 North Main St., after an illness of eight months. He was born June 22, 1896 in Lorain and had lived in Amherst 15 years.
Mr. Murdock was employed as a trainman at the Lake Terminal Railroad, Lorain. He was a member and past commander of Elmer Johnson American Legion Post 118 and a member of 40 and 8.
Surviviors are his wife, Frances; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Florence Leuszler and Mrs. Dorothy Koba, both of Amherst, and Mrs. Joyce Hughes, Vermilion; a stepson, Robert Raesler, Amherst; six step-grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Veronica Murdock, Lorain, and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Zilka and Mrs. Ann Stevens, both of Lorain.
Friends will be received in the Emmerich Funeral Home where services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Guy J. Moyer will officiate. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery.

SIDNEY B. MURDOCK Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 19, for Sidney B. Murdock, 65, who died Sunday in his home, 441 North Main street, after an illness of eight months.
Mr. Murdock was born in Lorain and had lived in Amherst for the past 15 years. He was employed as a trainman at the Lake Terminal Railroad in Lorain. He was a member and past commander of Elmer Johnson American Legion Post 118 and a member of 40 and 8.
