Florence (Schaeffer) Miller Mulder.

Florence Schaeffer was the daughter of Michael Bradley Schaeffer and Mayme Stiwald.

She married (first) Claude C. Miller, Sr. on 16 Dec 1928 at the Home of the Bride in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. F.E. Eastman.

She married (second) Karl Cornelius Mulder in 1943.

Florence died at the Golden Acres Nursing Home in Amherst Twp., Lorain Co., OH and was buried 9 Jan 1996.

OBITUARIES - FLORENCE MULDER --

Florence S. Mulder (nee Schaeffer), 87, of Amherst died Sunday, Jan. 7, 1996, following a brief illness. She was a resident of Golden Acres.
Born Sept. 19, 1908 in Amherst, she was raised here and was a 1926 graduate of Central High School. Mrs. Mulder had lived in Amherst most of her life; from 1961-75 she and her late husband owned and operated the Kar-Lin-Acres Riding Academy in Brownhelm.
Mrs. Mulder was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening and knitting in her spare time. She was an accomplished seamstress and operated a small sewing business for many years out of her home.
Mrs. Mulder is survived by a daughter, Jean Voros of Amherst; a son, Claude Miller of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters Grace Gove of Boston, Mass., Mrs. Ted (Nettie) Schmidt of Amherst and Mrs. Richard (Ruby) Francis of Largo., Fla. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Miller, in 1938 after 10 years of marriage, a second husband, Karl Mulder, in 1978 after 30 years of marriage, a daughter, Linda in 1971, and brothers Earl and Slip Schaeffer.
Services were held Tuesday at the Hempel Funeral Home with a service scheduled for today at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bill Mouer, pastor of Foursquare Gospel Church in Amherst officiating. Burial will be in Crownhill Cemetery.
