Claude C. Miller was born in Germania, WV, the son of Arthur F. Miller and Mattie Z. Grandstaff.

He married Florence Schaffer on 16 Dec 1928 at the Home of the Bride in Amherst, Lorain Co., OH. The marriage ceremony was performed by Rev. F.E. Eastman.
