WOMAN KILLED IN FALL INTO QUARRY
An amateur photographer Sunday morning discovered a scene that he never expected to find. It was the battered body of Mrs. Ruth Bruse, 31, South Amherst, lying at the bottom of the No. 6 quarry in South Amherst.
F. A. Locke, Perry, Ohio., found the woman who was formerly Miss Ruth Frederick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Frederick, N. Main-st.
Mrs. Bruse had been missing from her home, which is about three blocks from the quarry, since last Wednesday night and it is believed that she fell into the quarry that night. Identification of the body was made through the clothing.
She is survived by her husband, John, one son, James Hornyak, Jr. at home, her parents, four brothers, Walter and Raymond, of Amherst, Melvin, Lorain, and Edward of Harrisburg, Pa; five sisters, Ethel, Dorothy, Mrs. Jerry Mead and Mrs. Robert Berk, Amherst, and Mrs. Willard Whittemore, Grafton, New York.
