HERMAN EHLERT FUNERAL SERVICES HELD SATURDAY

Herman J. (Dutch) Ehlert, 79, of 156 North Main Street, Amherst, was pronounced dead on arrival at Amherst Hospital last Thursday morning after stricken at the Ohio Extended Care Center where he had been a patient.

Mr. Ehlert was born October 3, 1892 in Amherst, and had lived here all his life. He was employed as a screw machine operator at Couch-Uthe Company in Elyria before retiring in 1958.

He was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 50 year member of the Amherst Eagles and a member of the Royal Arch Masons Chapter, Council and Commandery of Lorain.

He is survived by two brothers, John A. and William W. and two sisters Linda and Rose Ehlert, all of Amherst.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon in the Garland Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert A. Happel officiating. Burial was in Crownhill Cemetery. Services were also conducted at the funeral home by Stonington Masonic Lodge.
