John Charles Ahlgrim was born in North Amherst (now Amherst), Lorain Co., OH, the son of John Ahlgrim and Wilhelmine Bruce.

He married Bertha Ruminsky abt 1904.

John died in Rebel Nursing Home and was buried 26 May 1965.

JOHN C. AHLGRIM

John C. Ahlgrim, 82, of 567 Second St, died in Rebel Nursing Home at 5:45 p.m. yesterday. He had been ill three months.

Mr. Ahlgrim was born in Amhest, Dec. 30, 1882 and lived in Elyria 23 years. A member of the Church of the Open Door, he was a retired salesman.

Surviving are his wife, Bertha (nee Berger); a son, Alfared, Wellington; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, and a brother, Rudolph, Elyria.

Friends will be received at the Wainwright Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in the Church of the Open Door with the Rev. Ralph W. Neighbour, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
