He grew up in Desdemona, [the son of Doc Anderson and Sally Bell Huffman] and attended school there. He was a US Navy Veteran serving in World War II from 1941-1946.
He owned and operated several service stations and was considered a "Jack of All trades." He was a member of the Church of Christ at Desdemona, VFW, AARP.
Survivors: three daughters - Nancy Morris, Connie Crain and Tammy Godsey; two sons - Jimmy Anderson and Roy Dean Anderson; two sisters - Faye Walls and Dorothy Greenhaw; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandson; nieces; nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers - Raymond and Elmer Lee Anderson; mother - Sally Bell Huffman; grandson - Jimmy Godsey, Jr.
