Services for Mrs. W.L. Butler, 91, were officiated by Rev. W.E. Peterson of the First Methodist Church. She moved to Abilene in 1927.

She moved to Texas with her family in 1885 and settled at what is now Gustine in Comanche County. She moved to Scurry County in 1909 and after living in Eastland and Coke Counties, moved to Abilene.

Survived by four daughters - Mrs. C.D. Shanks, Mrs. W.E. McDonald, Mrs. Annie Petree, Mrs. W.D. Caperton; two sons - W.V. and Henry H. Butler; 31 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren.
