August 1946-Mrs Elizabeth Smith
Funeral services for Mrs Elizabeth (Fisher) Smith of Old Westford Road, Chelmsford, were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs Grace Whitney, on Brookside Road, Nabnasset, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and were largely attended by relatives and friends. Westford Gange, 208, was represented by Daniel Staples, Mr & Mrs Harry Ingalls, Miss Lucinda E Prescott, E. Clyde Prescott, and Mrs Clifford F Johnson. Rev Warren M Roberts, pastor of the West Chelmsford Methodist church officiated. There were many floral tributes.

The bearers were Ralph S Whitney, Chester M Whitney, Robert G Smith, and Warren W Whitney, all grandsons of Mrs Smith. Burial took place in the family lot in Fairview cemetery, Westford, where the committal service was read by Rev Mr Roberts and the Grange burial ritual was exemplified by the officers of Westford Grange. Funeral arrangements were in charge of Funeral Director William H Saunders.
