A native of Westfield, MA he was the son of Armand and Dorothy (Clark) St. Jean.
He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1959, served his country in the United States Navy, and later earned his mechanical engineering degree from the University of Detroit.
A civil servant for over 30 years, he was employed by the Department of the Navy as an aerospace engineer, working on various military aircraft programs. He completed his career as a GS-15 and a senior engineer on the V-22 Osprey program.
He is survived by his wife Kay (Levine) St. Jean, sons, Jim of Bristow, VA, Christopher of Woodbridge, and David Jr of Palmyra NJ; one granddaughter. A brother Denis St. Jean of Feeding Hills, MA; sisters, Anne-Marie Buikus of Montgomery, Rose-Ellen Larrabee of Westfield, and Linda Bashonski of Colorado Springs, Co; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.
