John David Horton

He was a 57-year-old veteran of World War I, and died at his home on Hackney Ave. He lived in Globe for 23 years. Prior to suffering a stroke in the early 1940s, he was employed by Carrow Motor Company. He was a member of the Masonic Colored Lodge of Globe. Rose Lodge Free and Accepted Masons, of which he was a member, held graveside services. A firing squad composed of members of Henry Berry Post No. 4, American Legion, paid military honors to him. He was survived by his wife, Clara; daughter, Mrs. Foustina Wilson of Douglas; and son, Samuel D. Horton of Globe.
