Mark Monroe Prince, 79, passed away Sunday, June 8 1997, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 13, 1918, in Murray, Utah, son of Richard and Amy Loader Prince. Married Thelma Park Feb. 26, 1937. She died Jan. 28, 1980. Raised in Bingham and Murray. Worked at Utah Copper, and retired 1971 from Denver and Rio Grande Railroad after 32 years of service. Worked last few years as a crossing guard for Murray School District. Loved his kids! A loving compassionate father and friend, his home was always open to anyone who wanted to drop by. His cheerfulness and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him. Member of FOE 1760 Murray. He loved to travel, his garden, fishing, drives to Wendover and Wyoming Downs.
Preceded in death by his wife, brother Roy, sisters Mildred and Afton and son-in-law Randy Fox.
Survived by special friend and companion of 17 years, Thelma French, son; Robert (Lee) Prince; daughters Loni (Fred) Bailey and Toni (Bob) Paquette; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; extended family Bob and Charlene French and Mike and Denice Thatcher and their children. Special thanks to Charli Gregor, his home nurse for her compassion and love in his final days.
