He was the son of Joseph Burge and Cathrine Burge of Cambria co., PA

Adam died in Columbian Hospital in Washington, D.C on Sept 30, 1862 of wounds received on Sept 17, 1862 in the Battle of Antietam

He had enlisted Aug 8, 1862 at Camp Curtin, PA - pvt Co E 125th PA vols

Memorial was transferred from Bob Farmam-Armed Forces Ritirement Home, Washington, D.C Scott Building 5-6055
