ERIS L. JONES, 73, died at 5:45 p.m. May 16, 2004, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 26, 1930, in Delphos to Harry L. and Zelma Lutz Patton, who preceded her in death. On Nov. 26, 1947, she married Robert D. Jones, who survives in Gomer.
Mrs. Jones retired as a teller from the Delphos and Gomer branches of The Commercial Bank. She had also sold Avon and Tupperware. She was a member of Gomer United Church of Christ. She attended Delphos Jefferson schools and was a graduate of Gomer High School. She was very generous and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include a son, Gary (Nancy) Jones of Fort Jennings; two daughters, Pam Holden of Lima and Judy (Kevin) Webb of Sylvania; two sisters, Mary Ann Dunlap of Delphos and Maxine Custer of Lima; two brothers, George (Dottie) Patton of Delphos and Lloyd Patton of Lima; and six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by an infant son.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Harter & Son Memorial Chapel, Delphos. The Rev. Brian A. Knoderer will officiate. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer.
