HOOPER - The funeral for Linda S. Frey, 48, of Hooper was 2 p.m. today at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. She died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, at Fremont Area Medical Center. Linda Heller was born April 10, 1954, in Fremont. She lived in Hooper most of her life. She graduated from Logan View High School in 1972 and attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for a year. She has been employed as the office manager at Fremont Recycling for the last 17 years. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper and was active in the "Praise Singers" at church.
She married Gerald "Jerry" E. Frey Oct. 22, 1977, at Redeemer Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1992.
Survivors include: a son, Thad of Hooper; a daughter, Hope of Hooper; her mother, Betty Heller of Hooper; a sister, Nancy Heller of Hooper; three brothers-in-law, Jack and Corrine Frey of Tilden, Morris Frey and Jim and Cheri Frey, all of Fremont; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Babel of Lindsay and Jean and Bernie Silva of Columbus. She also was preceded in death by a son, her father, her mother- and father-in-law and a sister-in-law.
The Rev. Steve Tjarks officiated today's service. Burial was in Hooper Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Hooper Fire Department and Rescue Squad and Redeemer Lutheran Church. Warne-Johnson Funeral Home in Hooper was in charge of arrangements.
