Funeral Services for Mrs. Eva Johnson, age sixty-seven, Crothersville R1, who died Sunday morning at the home five miles west of Crothersville after a day's illness, were conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon from the Tampico Baptist Church with the Rev. John Cassaday and the Rev. Walter Moseley in charge. Burial was in the Crothersville Cemetery.

Obituary
Melvina Evaline Briner Johnson, daughter of Louis and Mary Adeline Farrago Briner, was born in Grassy Fork Township, September 23, 1875, and departed this life September 13, 1942.
She was married to Jason B Johnson September 30, 1900, who preceded her in death Nov. 30, 1930 and spent their entire life on their farm one and a half miles east of Tampico.
In early life she united with the Crothersville Baptist church and later with the Tampico Baptist Church, where she was a faithful member.
She leaves to mourn their loss the following children, Oren Johnson, Mrs. Ova Smith, Mrs. Ethel Elliott and Mrs. Florence Hall of Grassy Fork Township and Hugh Johnson of Rockford, Illinois. Two brothers, A. W. Briner of Indianapolis, and Lemuel Briner of Seymour; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Mathieson of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Maude Briner of Crothersville; twenty-five grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at the Tampico Baptist church Tuesday afternoon. In charge of the services were Rev. John Cassady, assisted by the Rev. Walter Moseley. Burial in the Crothersville Cemetery.
