Final rites were held Sunday afternoon at 2 for Mrs. Daisy Miller at the Cookson funeral home in Plymouth. Mrs. Miller departed this life Friday afternoon, Nov. 24, 1961 at three o'clock at an East Moline hospital where she had been a patient for some time.
The Rev. Franklin Woods of Macomb officiated in the services, his message bringing comfort to loved ones and friends. He serves the pastorate of the Oak Grove Christian church.
Mrs. James Webb and Mrs. Orin Cookson sang two hymns, "God's Way" and "Ivory Palaces," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Leo McCutchan.
There were many lovely floral tributes. Interment was in Oak Grove cemetery. Casket bearers were Don, Richard and Larry Miller, Robert Lewis and Gilbert Stewart.
Mrs. Miller was born January 18, 1879 near LaGrange, Mo., to George and Annie Armour.
In 1887 she was united in marriage to Joseph Miller. They farmed in the Oak Grove community. Mr. Miller passed away in 1905.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Mabel Wagner of Peoria and Clay Miller of Plymouth, five grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Six brothers and sisters, Russell, Clay, Lynn and Harry Armour, Mrs. Nellie Bauer, and Mrs. Minnie Roberts Smith are deceased.
Mrs. Miller was a member of the LaGrange, Mo., Baptist church. She was beloved by many friends.
