Allen W. Watts, age 76, a resident of Crescent City for the past 32 years, died in a local hospital Thursday, September 15, after an illness of two months.
Born in Montgomery, Ala., Mr. Watts moved to Camden, S.C., when a youth. He came to Crescent City in 1906 where he had since made his home. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of South Carolina.
He is survived by five sons, Lonnie of Pomona, Clyde, Foster and Arthur of Crescent City, Billie of Peniel, and two daughters, Mrs. Susie Middleton of Pomona, and Mrs. Ola Kelley of South Carolina.
Interment was in Crescent City Cemetery. (Palatka Times-Herald Obituary dtd Friday, 23 Sep 1938.)
