She was born Oct. 4, 1909, in Graham, the daughter of Alex and Maggie Parsons Stringer. She lived in Perrin most of her life, and was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church there. She was a teacher for 30 years, having taught in the Bunger, Fox Hollow, Whitt and Perrin schools. She was a member of the Palo Pinto County Retired Teachers Association, and the Palo Pinto County Historical Association. She was a wonderful mother, grannie, aunt, friend and teacher.
