Addie Marie (Steppler) Conger, 102, of Colorado Springs, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Colorado Springs on March 16, 1901 to Christian Lewis and Martha Jane (Brown) Steppler, who preceded her in death.

Addie married William Melton Conger in Colorado Springs in 1924. This union was blessed with eight children.

She is survived by her sons, Arnold L. Conger and Charles Curtis Conger of Colorado Springs; her daughter, Jean Nagode of Denver; nineteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

Preceding Addie in death were her husband; her sons, William Lewis Conger, Robert A. Conger, and an infant; daughters, Jane Viox and Roberta Crego; grandson, Lyle Crego; brothers, Charles Steppler and Albert Steppler; and sister, Irene Jenkins.

She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, whose many stories of life in Colorado Springs in the early 1900's will be greatly missed. Her talents were many - including crocheting, painting, baking and playing the piano.

She was dearly loved, and her memory will be with us forever.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 25, at 10:30 a.m., at 2229 West Colorado Avenue, Colorado Springs, Blunt Mortuary, prior to funeral services, which will be held at 11:00 a.m.
