Son of L.D. Eubanks and Jewell (Hart)
The following information submitted by FAG member 47220553:
"Services for Darrell Allen Eubanks were held at the First Baptist Church here. Mr. Eubanks attended school and graduated in 1954. He had worked as a firefighter for the Forestry Service during the summers from 1953 until 1960. After his graduation from high school, he attended Texas Tech and the University of Texas before entering Southwest Texas State Teachers College where he was a pre-law student. He was in law school at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and had intended to resume his studies this fall. While with the Forestry Service he worked at Silver City, New Mexico, and McCall, Idaho.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Eubanks of Lampasas, a brother, Weldon, and his grandmother, Mrs. I. N. Hart. Burial was in the Groves Cemetery.

A funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon for Darrell A. Eubanks, who was killed two weeks ago while dropping supplies in Laos. They were employees of Air American and were engaged in dropping rice and gasoline to the troops when their plane crashed. The plane did have to cross some enemy-held points to reach the drop area. A memorial service was held in the Presbyterian Church at McCall, Idaho, at the same time services were being held here. The service was conducted by the Rev. Stan Tate, who had worked with him when he was a smoke jumper."
