Perry was son of Isaac W. Redman and Cynthia E. Wilson. Perry was married 26 Dec 1903 in Plunk (Dawson), MO to Grace Dear. They were the parents of three boys Charles, George and Harry. Perry and Grace lived in or near Dawson after their marriage and he was the postmaster in Dawson until his death. For a short time when Harry was a baby, Perry worked as a street car conductor in Kansas City. After Perry's death, Grace applied for and got the postmaster position.
