Medina Co. Gazette - 2/22/1962: Mrs. May M. Schmidt spent most of her 78 years in Valley City. She was taken to the Lutheran Home for the aged in Westlake three months ago, where she died Wednesday night.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at St. Paul's, with burial in the church cemetery, Rev. H. R. Hilsabeck of Grafton will officiate.
Friends may call at the Bauer Funeral home Thursday evening and Friday.
The deceased leaves a daughter, Mrs. Erva Kline of Cleveland, three sons, Casper of Valley City, Harold of Medina and Herbert of Parma; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Also a sister, Mrs. Erva Asper, and two brothers, Harry and Earl Thompson, all of Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gustave, 22 years ago and a son, Kenneth.
