Ernest Brooks
Ernest Brooks, formerly of East Liverpool, who resided with a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Shestina of Lakewood, died this morning at 8 at the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital after an illness of 4 weeks. He was 66. He was born in Salineville May 21, 1893, and lived in this vicinity most of his lifetime, moving to Lakewood about a year ago. He was employed as a jiggerman at the Homer Laughlin China Co. and retired in 1955. He belonged to the Anderson Methodist Church and the IBOP. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Georgetta Brooks at home; his mother, Mrs. Katherine McMillan of East Liverpool; three sons, Wallace Brooks of Lakewood and Ernest Brooks and John V. Brooks, both of East Liverpool; two foster sons, Glen Moe of Manhattan, Kan., and Leonard Bowers of San Diego; two other daughters, Mrs. Naomi Kays of Akron, and Mrs. Loretta Cubberly of East Liverpool; two half - brothers, Ross McMillan of New Philadelphia, and Lloyd McMillan of Salineville, and 16 grandchildren. The Martin Funeral Home is arranging services.

Services for Paul Brooks of Lakewood, formerly of East Liverpool, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Martin Funeral Home by the Rev. George Johnston, pastor of the Anderson Methodist Church, and the Rev. John Call of East Liverpool. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery at Salineville. He died Wednesday morning at the Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital after an illness of four weeks. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.
