"Funeral service for Myrtle Loucille "Lou" Simon, 81, of Lampasas were at the Lampasas High School auditorium with Ira Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Groves Cemetery in Lampasas county.
Mrs. Simon was born at Lucy Creek in Lampasas. She lived most of her life in Lampasas County, where her grandparents settled in 1875. Mrs. Simon worked as a volunteer for the Lampasas Senior Center for 20 years where she taught a ceramics class. She was a homemaker and a non-denominational Christian church.
Survivors include one son, Richard Ronald Simon; two daughters, Martha Pearl Langdon and Mary Ruth Simon; one brother, Barney Groves; grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Simon, on April 3, 1982.
