Obituary, March 18, 1948: Funeral services for Katherine Elizabeth Ellington, 78, were held yesterday from the home, with burial at Zilpo. She died Monday, March 15. Survivors include: a son, G. H. Ellington; and two daughters-in-law, Hannah E. Ellington, of Covington, and Mrs. G. H. Ellington, of Yale. She also leaves three brothers, Aaron Crosthwait, 87, and John Crosthwait, 76, both of Yale, and Jake Crosthwait, who is over 70 years old, of Carlisle. She was an active member of the Church of God.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. John C. Williams and Mrs. A. J. Utterbach. Arrangements were handled by the Anderson Funeral Home. The casket bearers were Russell Wilson, Clemens Crosthwait, Earl Ellington, Ted Crosthwait, Holley Crosthwait and Winfred Crosthwait.
