Mary Susan McClaflln was born October 27, 1866, In Galopolice, Ohio, In Gallia County.
She passed away at the home of her daughter and son-in-law Millie and Charlie Scarf
December 5, 1963 at the age of 97 years 1 month and 8 days. She was a resident of
Curtis and vicinity 67 years.
She was united in marriage to Franklin Vance May 5th 1882. To this union was born
four daughters; Hattie Witkoski and Millie Scharf of Curtis, Clara Cappel of McCook and
Emma Belle who died in infancy. Mr. Vance passed away June 1, 1939. Mrs. Vance remarried Dec 6th, 1946 to Almon Hunt of Curtis. Mr. Hunt passed away July 1, 1949.
Surviving Mrs. Hunt are her three daughters, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. One half brother Melvin McClaflin of Bryan, Okla.
