"Death of Mrs. Elizabeth Fry.

Mrs. Elizabeth Fry, nee Apple [sic], a native of Wood Corner, Clay township, and a resident of Ephrata and vicinity for many years, died shortly before midnight Friday night, of a complication of diseases, after being an invalid for thirty years, aged eighty-six years, eleven months and twenty-four days. She was the widow of Peter H. Fry, of Ephrata township, who died in 1881. She died at the home of her daughter, Lizzie, on Church street, with whom she had lived for some years, and who tenderly waited on her invalid mother during the later years of her illness. She is survived by the following children: Peter A., of Reamstown; David A. and Aaron A., of Ephrata borough; Lizzie, a maiden lady with whom the deceased had resided, and Mrs. Kate Lausch, of the same place, and John A. Fry, of Palmyra. Miss Catharine Apple [sic] is a surviving sister."

"Mrs. Elizabeth K. Fry, widow of Peter H. Fry, died at her home in Ephrata on Friday of a complication of diseases after a lingering illness of two years, aged eighty-seven years. She was born in Clay township and was a daughter of the late Samuel and Anna Appel. Until twenty-four years ago she lived in Ephrata township, then moved to Ephrata, where she had lived until her death. Six children, as follows, survive: Peter, of Reamstown; David, Aaron and Lizzie of Ephrata; Kate, wife of Daniel D. Lausch, of near Ephrata, and John A., of Palmyra, Lebanon county. One sister, Miss Katie Appel, of Ephrata, also survives. Her husband died thirty-four years ago. Mrs. Fry was a member of the Church of Brethren for fifty-eight years. The funeral services will be held at her late home on Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock and in the Church of the Brethren, of Ephrata, at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in the Middle Creek cemetery."
