Glenda Jean Andersen Aiken

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, left her pain behind to join her husband, son and other family members, on Jan. 3, 1998 in Salt Lake City.

Born May 16, 1909 in Fountain Green, Utah to George Christian Andersen and Ida Agnes Anderson. Married Lowell Tillman Aiken on Aug. 17, 1932, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

She was an active member of the LDS Church serving in many positions such as Primary president and Relief Society president. She Lovingly made many afghans and quilts for family and friends.

She is survived by a son and two daughters, Max C. Aiken (Joan) of Mexico, Missouri; Idonna Babcock (Dorral) of Sandy; Madge Cude (Don) of Pioche, Nevada. 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, son, Lowell Sheldon and granddaughter, Jody, three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services Thurs. 1 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary 4760 South State St., where friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and Thurs. one hour prior to service. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
