Arthur F. "Andy" Andersen

Arthur F. Andersen, age 80, returned to his Heavenly Father December 26, 1997, due to heart failure.

Born September 4, 1917 in Spring City, Utah, to Ethelyn Allred and Arthur L. Andersen. Married Bea Mortensen November 10, 1940. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He is a Colonel in the Utah National Guard, served in World War II, and served on the board of Directors of the America First Credit Union for more than 30 years. Dad loved working with his hands building projects, planting, doing beautiful stitchery and lapidary. He had a tender heart and loved his family.

He will be missed by all of us.

He is survived by his wife, Bea; son, Arthur Brent; daughter, Sharon (Brent) Bain; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Steven (Brooke), David (Amy), Michael (Becky), Gary, Leslie, and Kathy; great-granddaughter, Kelsey; sister, Ethel A. Glanz, all of Salt Lake City, Utah. Preceded in death by brother, McKay and a grandson, James Arthur Andersen.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 1997 at 11 a.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple. Friends may call Wednesday at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
