She was born May 25, 1891, in Altoona, the daughter of Henry and Amanda (Stumph) Akers, and married David W. Varner, who died Dec. 14, 1964.
Surviving are a son James Edwin Keirn of Hurst, Ill.; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Varner was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by the E.Merrill Smith Funeral home.
VARNER - Services will be held at the Carson Valley Cemetery chapel, by the Rev. Eugene Miller. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Mrs. Varner is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Richard Halbritter Sr. of Sugar Run Road. Arrangement by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home.
