Myrtle M. Varner, 88, formerly of the B|air Christian Home, Duncansville, died at 10:50 p.m. Monday, April 7, 1980, in Valley View Home, following an extended illness.
She was born May 25, 1891, in Altoona, the daughter of Henry and Amanda (Stumph) Akers, and married David W. Varner, who died Dec. 14, 1964.
Surviving are a son James Edwin Keirn of Hurst, Ill.; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Varner was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren. Arrangements by the E.Merrill Smith Funeral home.
VARNER - Services will be held at the Carson Valley Cemetery chapel, by the Rev. Eugene Miller. Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Mrs. Varner is also survived by a niece, Mrs. Richard Halbritter Sr. of Sugar Run Road. Arrangement by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home.
