Lela Mae McCall Watts

Mrs. Lela Mae McCall Watts 79, resident of High Springs, died, June 5, 2009 at Baya Point Nursing Home after an extended illness.

She was a native of Taylor, Florida daughter of the late Edward Daniel and Lela Albriton McCall and widow of the late William Timothy Watts and had made her home in High Springs since 1962 where she was a member of The High Springs First Baptist Church.

Survivors; Three sons, Donald M. Watts and William T. Watts, III, both of Smith Station, Alabama, and John Edward Watts of High Springs, Fl. Three daughters, Katholyene Carey (Charles), Lake Butler, Fl., Nell Emmelhainz (Edgar), Lake Butler, Fl and Lela Bertha Brown, Lake City, Fl. One brother, Curtis McCall (Joanie) Vidalia, Ga. Three sisters, Betty June Olive, Madison, Fl, Lessie V. Parker (J.L) Sylvester, Ga. And Myrtis Gay, McCray, Ga. Thirteen Grandchildren and fourteen Great Grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Monday, June 8, 2009 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home with Dr. Eddie Gandy, pastor of First Baptist Church, High Springs officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. Sunday, June 7, 2009. GATEWAY-FOREST LAWN FUNERAL HOME, 3596 South U.S. Highway 441, Lake City, Fl (386-752-1954) is in charge of arrangements.
