He was a son of Fred and Anna (Bornholt) Stucke. On Oct 4, 1941, at St. John Church, Maria Stein, he married Alvera Vehorn, who survives in Maria Stein.
Surviving are seven sons, Richard (Francella), St. Henry, Ronald (Carolyn), Cassella, Nick (Bonnie), Mason, John (Paula), New Bremen, Lavern (Sue) Minster, Dale (Phyllis), Ashburn, VA, and Jim (Pam), Maria Stein; two daughters, Patricia (Gerald) Watercutter, Cranberry Prairie, and Susan (Gary) Wendel, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Ann, Minster; brother, Arthur (Patrica), Dayton; 47 grandchildren and 59 great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Delbert; four brothers, Frank, Norbert, Jack and Leander; and five sisters, Johanna Overman, Agnes Grevenkamp, Alvira Schwartz Homan, Regina Schwartz and Margaret Stucke.
He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Men's Sodality of the church, St. Rose School Board, Marion Local Building Committee, bus driver for Marion Local Schools, Treasurer of Marion Mutual Insurance Co. for 26 years and was a member of Osgood Fire Department. He was a lifetime farmer on the farm he was born, retired owner operator of Maria Stein Service Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the church, with Rev. Gene Schnipke officiating.
