Orba Nella Mower Shelley, 87, died Saturday, June 25, 1988.

She was born May 19, 1901 in Fairview to Henry and Sarah Jane Brady Mower.

She married George Heber Shelley May 22, 1918 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Nov. 23, 1964.

She was educated in Fairview and made her home in Mountainville and Clear Creek.

She had also lived in Richfield, Idaho.

She made her home in Provo for the last 40 years.

She was an active member of the LDS Church, Provo 3rd Ward. She had held several positions in the auxiliaries of the church.

While living in Clear Creek she served as Primary president and was a visiting teacher for over 55 years.

She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

She enjoyed quilting and baking and she made quilts for all of her family.

She is survived by four sons and three daughters, Heber J. Shelley, Mrs. Reo (Ruby) Young, Donald "M" Shelley, all of Provo; Mrs. Keith (Wanda) Grames, Pleasant Grove; H. Merlin Shelley, Mapleton; Mrs. Aurell (Kathleen) Hatch, Highland; Samuel Shelley, Salt Lake City; one sister, May Harris, Sacramento, Calif.

She was preceded in death by one brother, four sisters, and two grandchildren.

Funeral will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., Berg Mortuary Chapel, 185 E. Center, Provo.

Friends may call Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. or Wednesday one hour prior to service.

Burial in East Lawn Memorial Hills.
