Memorial services for Richard O. Steck Jr., 65, of Clairemont, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Mission Hills United Methodist Church. Cremation was planned by the Telophase Society, with ashes to be buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery. He died Friday at home. Mr. Steck, a native San Diegan and lifelong county resident, was a retired California Department of Transportation civil engineer. He was a 1939 graduate of San Diego High School, had attended San Diego State University and was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
