Funeral service for Jack D. Adams, 78, of Ruidoso were Thursday, Feb. 26, at the First Christian Church in Ruidoso. Graveside services are Friday, Feb. 27, at 2:30 p.m. in the Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, Texas.
Mr. Adams was born June 22, 1930 in Texas and passed away Monday, Feb. 23, 2009 in Ruidoso. He had moved to Ruidoso in January 1996, from Albu-querque.
He retired from the Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer and served during the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He married Carol Kellison on Sept. 16, 1958, at Reno, Nev., and she preceded him in death on Sept. 2, 2008.
He is survived by his daughter, Vikkee Johnson of Ruidoso and two grandchildren, Kelly Johnson and Nikkee Johnson, both of Ruidoso.
