Mrs Frona Shields, 48, Dies at Home Here Last Night
Funeral services for Mrs Frona Shields, 48, of 509 North Joplin, who died at 8 o'click last night at her home after an illness of several weeks, will be held at 2 o'click Sunday afternoon at the E K Smith chapel with Rev V G Nailey in charge. Burial will be in McCune cemetery. The body is at the chapel.
Mrs Shields was taken to Mt Carmel hospital several weeks ago but was returned to her home recently when she was thought to be in an improved condition.
Born April 16, 1893, at St Paul, she came here nine years ago from Parsons. A membership was held in the Christian church.
Surviving are the widower, Otis Shields; three daughters, Mrs Aleen Cutshall of Weir and Gladys and Dorothy Shields of the home; a son, Harold Shields of the hom; two sisters, Mrs Bertha Shields of Pittsburg R R 4 and Mrs Alice Elam of PArsons; two brothers, Gus Compton of Parsons and Oval Compton of Parsons; the father, James Compton of Parsons, and nine grandchildren.
