Opal L. Butler, age 79, of Bloomingdale passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at Metron of Allegan. Mrs. Butler was born Aug. 30, 1928 in Cushman, AR and resided here the majority of her life where she was a member of the Lakeshore Church of Christ, South Haven. Surviving are eight children, Nancy (Jack) Taylor of Bloomingdale; Patricia (Arthur) Lamp of Grand Junction; Claude (Cheryl) McClurg of Kalamazoo; Terry McClurg of Kalamazoo; Mary Harris of Grand Junction; Linda (Tommy) Garlin of Grand Junction; Andy Butler of Kalamazoo and Tina (Paul) Williams of Kalamazoo; 26 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; four brothers, Orville Richardson of Paw Paw; Jim (Ima) Richardson of Batesville, AR; Carl (Vivian) Richardson of Charlotte, AR; Lonnie Richardson of Batesville, AR. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Butler; a son, Charles McClurg and a daughter, Betty McClurg. The family will meet friends from Noon until time of service at 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 24, 2007 at the Bloomingdale Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. Interment Tucker Cemetery, Bloomingdale Twp., MI.
