Bart was born May 5, 1941, in Bloomington, the son of John and Anna Roeske Bartosik. He married Carolyn S. Turner on Oct. 25, 1980m in Clinton. She survives.
Also surviving are two brothers, Lawrence (Mary) Bartosik, Heyworth, and Bill (Toni) Bartosik, Normal; one sister, Mildred Sweeter, Peoria; several nieces and nephews; his cats, Slim and Ed; and his good friends, Rick and Mary Hoeniges, and their children, Levi and Maury.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Bart was raised by his aunt and uncle, Walter and Ann Roeske; graduated from Trinity High School; and served in the U.S. Army Military Police. He worked as a small engine repair mechanic for many years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post 454 Men's Auxiliary and the American Legion.
Bart was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone.
