Quinton Robert Eure, Jr., 69, died early Thursday in McGuire Veterans Hospital in Richmond after an illnes of three weeks.
He was a son of Quinton R. Eure and Mrs. Missouri Umphlett Eure and the husband of Mrs. Sallie Early Eure. He was a retired farmer and a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church. He served in the Army in France during World War 1.
Besides his wife, surviving are four daughters, Mrs. A.R. Tinkham, Mrs. C.W. Hudgins and Mrs. L.P. Harrell of Eure and Mrs. R.L. Cowan of Suffolk; two sons, Andrew Q. Eure of Winton and Stephen E. Eure of Churchland, Virginia; three sisters, Mrs. S.E. Piland of Cofield, Mrs. N.T. Felton of Eure and Mrs. M.E. Umphlett of Gates; a brother, C.B. Eure of Eure; and 14 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted Saturday at 3p.m. in Cool Sprig Baptist Church by the Rev. J. A. Beukema. Burial will be in the church cemetary.
