California State Senator for Yolo and Sonoma counties 1880, two-time Yolo county supervisor 1875, large farmer of over 3000 acres in Yolo county and 1800 acres in Fresno county. Murdered Everett L. Craft in downtown Woodland on 6 Feb 1886 but was never fully tried for the case. Died at the home of his daughter in Winters. He was buried Sunday, May 7, 1905.
