Louise Piercy West Lippy, age 94, died Thursday, November 22, 2012.

Preceded in death by husbands, James William West and Oliver Carter Lippy; her parents; and sister, Naomi Jordan.

Survived by sons, William Roland West and wife, Del, Oliver Carter Lippy Jr. and wife, Gwen, and Stephen Howard Lippy and wife, Linda; grandchildren, Stephanie West Smart and husband, Ryland, Lisa West Lignian and husband, David, Kevin Lippy and wife, Sara, David Lippy, Jeffrey Lippy and wife, Lana, and Jason Lippy; six great-grandchildren, Courtney Smart, Tiffany Smart, Nicole Lippy, J.D.Lignian, Camden Lippy and Joshua Lippy; sister, Lenora Piercy; and brother, Gilbert Piercy and wife, Mabel.

She graduated from Goochland High School and attended business school.

She worked at Virginia Carolina Chemical, where she met her first husband. They married Oct. 5, 1941 and lived in Newport News until his death March 25, 1943.

She worked at the Foreign Mission Board for nine years. She married Oliver Lippy on May 31,1952 and after a year they bought a house in Powhatan County and she stopped working to care for the children, later going back to work at the Bank of Goochland.

After leaving the Foreign Mission Board, she was asked to be a leader of the Lydia Green WMU Group, which led to being Superintendent of the Middle District WMU.

After retirement Louise and Oliver enjoyed traveling and moved to Lakewood Manor in January 1998.

The family received friends at the Norman Funeral Home, Goochland, VA, on Sunday, November 25, 2012, from 3pm to 5pm and 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 26, 2012, at Fine Creek Baptist Church at 1pm. Interment church cemetery.
