He was the son of James Jackson Bradford and Pheba Miranda Vandiver Bradford. He married Mattie Jane Oliver December 27, 1914, after her death, he married Selma Luella Rutherford on June 2, 1918.

Leander Bradford Died Monday Morning

Leander Bradford, age 52, passed away at this residence on Moulton, Rt. 4 Monday morning at 12:15 o'clock after a short illness.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ella Bradford; five sons, Jack, Harmon, Edgar, William and R. M. Bradford all of Moulton, Rt. 4: five daughters, Mrs. Elmer Richards, of Landersville, Rt. 1, Mrs. Arley Parker, Town Creek, Rt. 3, Misses Nadine, Eudell and Mary Lou, of Moulton, Rt. 4; four brothers, Jesse Bradford, Town Creek, Rt. 1, Newt and Houston Bradford of Moulton, Rt. 4, and Will Bradford of Moulton, Rt. 1; two sisters, Mrs. Tom Borden, Moulton, Rt. 4, and Mrs. Lula Dunlap of Paris, Tenn.; his mother, Mrs. Phoebia Bradford, Moulton, Rt. 4.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock by Rev. Lee Waldrep at the Providence Baptist church. Burial followed in Providence Cemetery with Highsmith directing.
