Anna Lillian (Frantz) Figgins, 83, of Owensboro, died Sunday, February 01, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on January 28, 1926 in Breckenridge County, Kentucky to the late James F. Sturgeon and Montre Ann Rogers Sturgeon. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church in St. Charles, Illinois. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Garnett Sturgeon and Helen Marie Cotton.
She is survived by her husband, Oren L. Figgins; sons, James B. Frantz of Owensboro, Thomas (Mary) Frantz of Elgin, IL and Larry (Brenda) Frantz of Bastrop, LA; and daughters, Ruby (James) Bray, Reba Royal, and Jean Phillips all of Owensboro and Juanita (Terry) Wheeland of Hampshire, IL; two step-children, Betty Lou Hill and Robert Figgins; ten grandchildren, Steven Bray, Darrel Shaffer, Michael Frantz, Kristi Nalley, Lisa Humphrey, Laura Vanover, Lynn Turner, Brian Lacefield, Josh Frantz, and Terry Wheeland, Jr.; ten step-grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel in Owensboro, Ky. Entombment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at James H. Davis Funeral Home.
