Cula E. Rogers, 86, 13527 Cumberland Highway, Orrstown, died Friday, February 20, 2009 in the Village of Laurel Run.

Born April 28, 1922 in Shade Gap, she was a daughter of the late Wilbert H. and Nettie E. Richardson Ritchey.

She was a 1941 graduate of Mifflintown High School, a member of the Roxbury United Methodist Church. Cula was a member of the First Court Chapter # 470 Order of the Eastern Star where she served as the former Grand Matron.

She was an avid golfer and enjoyed arts and crafts.

Cula is survived by her husband of 64 years, William Edward Rogers, two daughters; Diana E. Kelly, Naples FL. and Patricia M. Wood and her husband Robert, Fayetteville, two grandsons; Mark A. Thompson, Frederick, MD and Gregory S. Thompson, Baltimore MD, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Roxbury United Methodist Church, Roxbury. Officiating will be the Rev. Ronald S. McElwee. Burial will be in the Roxbury Cemetery.
