Alice Viola Thrush, age 81, of Marion, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 26, 2009, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Byhalia, on September 29,1927, the daughter of the late Pearl Charles Layne and Hazel Schindler. Alice married Norman Leroy Thrush on August 21, 1943, in Russell, KY, and he preceded her in death on August 30, 2000.
She was employed by Quaker Oats Company of Marion, as an assembly line worker, retiring March 1, 1990. Alice was a woman of faith, belonging to the Grace Baptist Church of Marion.
Left to cherish her memory are her three children; Keith (Nancy) Thrush of Marion, Garry (Mary) Thrush of Marion and Debbie (Kevin) Pritchett of Thornville, Ohio, five grandchildren; Kris (Brandi) Scott, Chad (Susie) Thrush, Kelly (Jeff) Marsh, Jeremy Thrush and Jon Thrush, eight great grandchildren; Andy, Matt, Aubrey, Kyle, Haley, Natalie, Justin and Troy, two sisters; Pauline Nolen and Cora Jane Gulliford. In addition to her husband and parents, Alice was preceded in death by her first born son Deryl Thrush, three sisters; Grace Alice Mohr, Edna Maze and Dorothy Hughes and one brother Bobby Clover.
