Lot B. Shough, 88, of Aleppo Township, Greene County, died at 8:25 p.m. Monday, November 3, 1969, in Greene County Memorial Hospital following a lingering illness.
He was born September 4, 1881, in Gilmore Township, the son of George W. and Martha Jane Gidley Shough.
His wife, Bertha Mitchell Shough, survives.
Mr. Shough lived all of his life in Aleppo and Gilmore Townships, where he had worked in the oil fields as a tool dresser and driller. In later years he followed farming and stock raising.
He was a lifelong Republican, and was active in politics as long as his health would permit, having served two terms as a school director in Aleppo Township.
A director of the Centennial Cemetery Association since its inception many years ago, he was affiliated with the Centennial Church in Alepppo Township.
Surviving, besides his wife, are one daughter, Mrs. Madoline S. Lemmon, of Holbrook Star Route, and several nieces and nephews.
He was the last of his family, with several brothers and sisters deceased.
